Modes of Literature

Toy Story Three
Authors Note: This is an entry about the movie toy story three, and how it fits in to one of the modes of literature. I made this entry because it was an assignment.

There are four types of modes in the modes of literature. They are Comedy, Tragedy, Irony, and Romance. I believe that Toy Story Three fits in with the category Romance. To romanticize is to think of and imagine the world better than what it really is. Toys don't really talk, and they're not alive, but the movie romanticizes about all of it. Sure, there are minor conflicts but that is part of the mode. There is a small conflict, but always has someone that comes in and fixes it. That person (or toy) is Woody. He is the captain of the toys, and looks out for all of them. He helps the toys and himself get out of sticky situations, like trying to escape a day care. It turns out, the other toys there are really mean, and are using them to get a break from all of the kids. Woody resolves this problem with one of his master plans. After they escape, The world goes back to what it used to be-still romantic. That is why the movie Toy Story Three fits into the category of romance out of the four modes of literature.
