Predictions

In the story Number the Stars there are three children (girls) who are living in the holocaust. When they visit Anamarie's uncles house I predict that the German soldiers will find and capture them. Her family is trying to hide a good friend of Anamarie, Ellen, because she is Jewish. From there, I don't know what will happen next.

However, having heard about the book Milkweed, the girls could run away. The cabin is far away from any civilization. There is room to "…run across the high-grassed meadow…" and hide. This is my other prediction for the story Number the Stars.

Life of Pi

Authors Note: This is my homework response for Martel's statement. 

I think that Martel means that the lifeboat forces everyone to work together which shows who we really are. We think we're better than everyone else but when put to the test we see who really is and who isn't.  In the end know matter what religion you are, we are all still animals.
